- Administration and supervision of land and title registration
- 50 land registration offices have been established Island wide and administration and supervision of the same offices is done under this division.
- Appointing and supervision of Notaries
- Activities such as appointing , resigning ,suspension from the service , changing jurisdiction zones of the attorney-at –law and non- attorney-at-law notaries and maintaining their personal files are carried out under this division.
- Relevant activities of issuance of licenses for additional languages, temporary suspension and resume of notary duties , activities relevant to change the official addresses ,private address of the notaries and duties relevant to amendment of the names of notaries.
- Updating the notary directory annually.
- Activities such as appointing , resigning ,suspension from the service , changing jurisdiction zones of the attorney-at –law and non- attorney-at-law notaries and maintaining their personal files are carried out under this division.
- Registration and cancellation of attorney licenses
- Registration and cancellation of attorney licenses are done by the regional offices and district assistant Registrar General’s offices of the Registrar General’s department situated in the Island.
